Not so long ago, residents of Royal Oak Mobile Home Park grilled representatives from the Olson Company about a new two-story single-family residential development to be built on the corner of Sausalito St. and Oak St. That development turned out well. Its new residents are "good neighbors" according to a Royal Oak resident, and traffic didn't worsen noticeably beyond the gridlock caused by Oak Middle School.
As with all Olson homes built in Southern California, Oak Walk will place its residents in the heart of the community. Restaurants, retail, and recreation opportunities are all nearby in a walkable distance, with easy access to the 405, 605, and 22 freeways, making the homes ideal for commuters. Residing in Oak Walk also means access to the award-winning Los Alamitos Unified School District. The Olson Co. will hold a ribbon-cutting Thursday, Dec. 12 for Oak Walk, a community of 50 townhomes in Los Alamitos.
The development at 3311 Sausalito St. will include three-story townhomes ranging from 1,295 square feet with two bedrooms and 2 ½ baths, to 2,188 square feet with four bedrooms and 3 ½ baths. Prices start in the mid-$600,000 range.
Oak Walk will be the seventh new home community built in Los Alamitos by The Olson Company and is the only new home development in the city in recent years.
